Registration Process
2023-2024 Abby Middle Registration - February 1st @ 9:00 am in person.

Welcome to Abbotsford Middle School! We look forward to meeting everyone.
Registrations for the 2023/24 school year will be in person only from February 1- 3. From February 6 and on Email will be accepted or drop off registration package in person at Abbotsford Middle School. Incomplete packages will not be processed and you will receive an email indicating what you are missing.
Please use the school locator to determine which school your child should register at.
Documents for Registering
Proof of age of the child by birth certificate or passport is required for all new student registrations (schools will make a photocopy).
The biological parent/legal guardian must provide proof of residency, and provide ONE Primary source:
- Utility bill
- Mortgage document Property Sale Agreement
- Property Tax Notice/Assessment
- Home insurance and/or Tenants insurance
In addition ONE of the following document containing the current name and address of the parent/guardian is required:
- Revenue Canada documents (such as Child Tax Credits Statement/other benefit)
- Current year income assessment
- Vehicle insurance (requires both pages)
- Current year T4
Please drop off completed Registration Package along with Proof of address at Abbotsford Middle School.
Please note that right now Abbotsford Middle is a closed catchment school. That means that we are not accepting non-catchment students.
Grade 6 Feeder School Student Registration
If your child/children attend Centennial Park Elementary, Dormick Park Elementary, Jackson Elementary, Alexander Elementary, Upper Sumas, Barrowtown. or Godson Elementary and you live in Abby Middle catchment area then your child/children are automatically registered at Abby Middle for September. (No registration needs to be completed.) If your child attends a choice school you will need to register. The past few years we have exceeded our enrollment with our feeder schools and therefore there is a waitlist for other students.
Soccer Academy
For over 12 years we have offered a Soccer Academy for students in Grade 6, 7 and 8. This is a skill development program for athletes who already play on a soccer team and are looking to improve their individual skill level as well as their understanding of the game. If you are interested in participating in the upcoming 2023-24 Soccer Academy, please submit your application and expectation form by May 15, 2023.
School Bus Information
Every year, all school bus riders must register with the Transportation Department and complete Student Transportation Request Form
New To Canada?
If you are a landed immigrant or are in Canada on a work visa please contact the School District Board Office prior to registering your child at the school. Please call 604-859-4891 (international Student Office) to make an appointment. They will confirm which documents you must provide.
