Welcome to a new school year at Abbotsford Middle School! I hope that you enjoyed a fun-filled summer and are excited about starting the school year.

Please see the attached newsletter as it has important information that will help you get ready for the first week of school: Parent Letter 2025.

Our teachers and staff are busy preparing the school and classrooms to provide for a fantastic year ahead. I am excited about the multiple opportunities ranging from athletics, to music, clubs and programs that we can offer your child and fully encourage them to become involved in a few. An engaged student helps provide for a successful year.

Your child’s teacher and POD (classroom) placement will be posted on Abbotsford Middle schools’ front doors by 6pm on Friday, August 29^th.   We put a lot of effort into placing all children to create balanced, optimal educational classrooms. In doing so, we consider a range of criteria, including academic needs and progress, physical and emotional maturity, social needs, and connections.  Our primary goal is to build successful groups of learners who will work and learn together. We often find that a week or two into the new school year, children adjust and grow around their new surroundings and classmates.

As partners in your child’s education, we value your input and support and thank you for being part of our school family. Hoping you enjoy the last few days of summer break!
